Few cancers spread to the heart. Although heart tumors do occur, the vast majority of them are noncancerous (benign).The heart is a complicated organ with many functions, such as pumping blood and keeping the person alive. However, any cancers that spread to the heart can be hazardous not only because they can cause damage to the heart but also because they might spread elsewhere in the body.( more )
